About ACDP-K

Association of Community Development Practitioners – Kenya (ACDP-K), is a Kenyan network of community development practitioners registered in 2017 under the Societies Act. Our aim is to bring together community development academicians and practitioners to network, share experiences, capacity build as well as professionalise the practice of community development in Kenya.

 

ACDP-K, as part of safeguarding public interest subscribes to best practices in community development and supports observance of international standards in community development work and practice. We are a corporate member of the International Association for Community Development (iacdglobal.org).

Membership

Membership is open to community development practitioners with diploma and graduate training in community development or related discipline - with special focus on the approaches, methods, principles and application in development processes. Membership benefits include: recognition as a professional CD practitioner; continuous professional development; networking for professional development; Discounts for participation in Association events; and ACDP-K Awards.
